• Gather information necessary to help the shop repair department and the new equipment sales.
• Represent City Pump & Motor Service, Inc. branding to all potential clients and work parallel with department heads as needed to increase revenue.

Required Skills

• Three to five years pertinent sales experience preferably in electric motor shop new product or service sales, industrial sales or related industries, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired.
• Possess good problem solving skills while being able to effectively resolve customer complaints.
• Results-oriented, self-starter and excellent organizational skills.
• Must have excellent communication capabilities

Field Service Technician – Job Description

This person will be responsible for the assembly, testing, trouble-shooting, service and repair of a wide variety of process pumps and other rotating process equipment. Applicant must have a good attitude, be capable of working under pressure, and handle daily changes in schedules and priorities.

• Trouble shoot & inspect pumps and other rotating equipment that are not operating properly using drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals and diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect parts and various components, determine if parts are re-useable/repairable and provide a complete written service report.
• Diagnose problems and recommend of repairs.
• Specify repair parts and labor for quotation.
• Assemble units according to manufacturer specifications & tolerances.
• Test repaired unit.
• Align equipment assemblies.
• Shop and field work will be required and may include physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.
• Clean, organize, and maintain Shop and Shop equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.

Required Skills

• Mechanical pump or rotating equipment experience preferred.
• Vo-tech or additional technical training is a plus.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to stand 95 to 100% of the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must have ability to read and interpret schematics.
